Silkroad Freeride Organization

From January 20 to 24, 2020, the first Silkroad Freeride ski and snowboard competition was held. The first edition took place in Karakol/Jyrgalan in eastern Kyrgyzstan. A 5-day event where freeriders from all Silk Road countries can participate. In addition to the competition, there will be training sessions, clinics and connections. The goal is to get local free-riders ready for a Freeride World Tour.

We are proud to announce that Ryce Travel is teaming up with Olaf Sueters (Gear4Guides) and Stacy Bare (Adventure Not War) to organize the Silkroad Freeride competitions. Stacy travels back to countries he was sent to as an American soldier. There he tries to contribute sustainably to the development of mountain tourism. Olaf provides local ski and snowboard guides with equipment. In this way, guides can develop and also earn an income from their work. And, of course, with Ryce Travel, we try to support winter sports in underdeveloped countries. It is a great honour to come to this collaboration.

You can already take a look around the Silkroad Freeride website. If you would like to participate or sponsor, please get in touch with us through the website above.
