At the end of Maksat and Adilet’s study trip, we hosted a party at Rotterdam’s Biergarten. All participants from previous trips to Kyrgyzstan were invited to meet Maksat and Adilet. After a 3-week journey through Lithuania, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland, we sadly had to say goodbye to these two juggernauts.
Fortunately, that was possible while enjoying a snack and a drink in Rotterdam. Quite a few people had come to the event, and Maksat and Adilet were visibly emotional. That they got to know so many people in such a short time, of course, already unique. But that so many people than even bothered to look them up in Rotterdam is undoubtedly touching.
The weather was typically Dutch, but that didn’t spoil the fun. We drank the necessary juice and were able to catch up a lot with all the rycigers. At one point, we even had to rush to get to Schiphol Airport. Indeed, the flight of Maksat and Adilet went that same evening. With a good sport, fortunately, we arrived at the airport on time. It was also an intense but fantastic journey for us. We experienced so much together, and of course, it was great to lead Kyrgyz guides around Europe.
Thank you so much to everyone for attending the farewell party. Maksat and Adilet also hope to see you again soon in Kyrgyzstan (or anywhere else). All the best to you.
