Gear4Guides is our community of skiers and snowboarders with a passion for backcountry riding. The whole idea for the concept started while exploring powder in amazing countries like Bulgaria, Iran, Turkey, India and Kyrgyzstan. During these trips we worked closely with local mountain guides, porters and drivers. In our opinion, this is the way to get the best impression of local flavors, culture and the opportunity to support local communities. It was strange to see that these guides were skiing on old gnarly skis and were barely equipped with snow safety equipment and knowledge. This shortcoming is easy to explain: it is simply not available in these countries. But it’s a way of making a living for them and that’s why we started doing something about it!

Gear4Guides = Sustainable
Mountain equipment is regularly rejected due to manufacturing errors. Or there are samples that will not be entering the market In these cases it is impossible to resell the equipment according to factory standards. Destroying the equipment is a costly and useless process. By donating the gear to Gear4guides it will be reused by people who can’t afford to buy new gear!
