Almaty

Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan and is known for its delicate apples. Due to the size of the city, there is always something to do here. For example, you can visit the nightlife until the late hours and Almaty has many different (western) restaurants. Furthermore, in and outside is Almaty surrounded by many different nature reserves, ski areas and parks. There is for example the Kok Tobe park; the hotspot for Almaty residents and the Shymbulak ski area worth visiting in summer too! From the Kok Tobe park you always have a great view over Almaty!

Kapchagay

Kapchagay is a small tourist town about 80 kilometers from Almaty. Located near the Kapchagay Lake, named after this place, it is the perfect spot for a day kitesurfing or swimming. The city is also well known for its many casinos. Now we’re not saying that during your group tour in Kazakhstan, you should spend all your money gambling in Kapchagay, but it might be fun to experience it there. Kapchagay is actually much more than just water and casinos. The nearby area is also very suitable for hikers who want to hike fully equipped into the mountains and valleys. After a hike through nature, relaxing in the city is the icing on the cake!

Charyn Valley

Charyn Valley is also known as the Grand Canyon of Kazakhstan. Just like in the Fairytale Canyon, wind and water erosion gave the gorge beautiful hues from deep red to light brown, jagged rock formations and colorful sculptures. During your group tour in Kazakhstan, you can drive a 4×4 car through the valley to see this beautiful natural wonder. There is also the option of canoeing and rafting on the Charyn River. However, this activity is only reserved for the more experienced rafters among us because the difficulty of rafting on the river is quite high here. A more peaceful activity that is also among the river’s capabilities is fishing.

Nursultan

Nursultan, also known as Astana in the past, is the capital of Kazakhstan. A very large part of this city did not exist 20 years ago and has completely changed in these 20 years. With its futuristic buildings and imposing skyline, it is no wonder that it is now called the Dubai of Central Asia and thus the city of innovation in Kazakhstan. There is a good connection by plane from Almaty airport. For the real adventurers, the trip can also be done by car.
