Lesnaya Skazka in long

Travelers who love the outdoors will appreciate the Lesnaya Skazka ski resort. The pure air, mild climate and many sunny days make for a pleasant stay. After a strenuous day of skiing, relax at the Oi-Qaragai Lesnaya Skazka Mountain Resort, located just 400 meters from the slopes. Delicious traditional Georgian and European dishes are served.

You can also combine skiing and snowboarding with a lovely hike. In Ile-Alatau National Park you will find alpine meadows, forests, lakes and glaciers. More than 300 bird and animal species were recorded, including the Central Asian lynx, Central Asian stone marten, Siberian ibex, vultures and golden eagle. Those who are very lucky may spot a Tian Shan brown bear. Or a paw print in the snow, that would be nice too.

Even snow leopards live in Lesnaya Skazka. However, these legendary felines do not show themselves easily, not to locals and even less to tourists. However, they are there. And all this is less than 40 kilometers from the metropolis of Almaty.
