The Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan has made tremendous efforts in developping the football facilities. This resulted almost in a qualification of the World Cup in 2018. Out of the last 8 qualification matches, only two were lost. Unfortunately Australia and Jordania were a little bit better. We still have to wait for the first appearance of Kyrgyzstan in a big tournament.
To facilitate the growing demand in football, Ryce Travel organises a football school in September 2017. In the city of Karakol (in the Eastern part of the country) we will do trainings and education in the technical and tactical aspects of our beloved football sport. With the help of many football clubs in the Netherlands and huge support of the Football Maties Foundation we were able to collect enough equipment to make it all happen.
What’s the plan?
In September 2017 we are travelling to Karakol with a Dutch delegation. We will deliver football clothing and training equipment to local children in association with local club FC Issyk Kul. To develop the level of trainings we try to develop a sustainable program for local coaches. Local children can have trainings on a high level and they will be surprised by receiving a football outfit.
The trainings will be held at Stadium Karakol in the centre of the town. The local club FC Issyk Kul usually play their home matches here. The players of the club will help us to organise the football school. Despite the harsh weather conditions, the pitch is actually in a pretty good state. It will be a huge honour for the children to play on a decent field. In winter, the children have to play indoors.
Local children usually only do sports at school. There’s no money to enter a football club or to rent an artificial pitch. Also they don’t have any equipment or outfits. It will a giant development to offer these facilities to the children. Their enthusiasm is enormous, we just have to learn them how to play together and work on something bigger than themselves.
What can you do?
To make this football school to a big success we are still looking for equipment. Especially bibs, pylons and balls. Everything is very helpful in general. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for extra information
